Mysterious new registrations

Post by nestey1 » Sun Jan 08, 2017 1:00 pm

Did someone advertise the forum or are these spammers? New registrations in the last 24hrs.

We are not really open yet...

Don't recognize any of them...

None of these 5 have viewed a single post, so I'm thinking spammers. Fetch ban hammer? Perhaps we should make a introduce yourself post mandatory to get registered... Are we logging IP addresses? maybe block by domain?

I've seen some forums where there was one topic only that signups could get to. THEN when they proved to NOT be spammers, they were granted access to the "private" parts of the forum

Some choose to be be wolves to prey on the flock.
Others choose to protect the flock and to confront the Wolf.
